Alex has worked with Tapestry since he was a youngster, part of the family firm until a management buyout in 2002. His vision, passion, dedication, innovative and creative concepts drive the business forward. Alex is an AV technical geek, gadgets and gismos galore, out of the ordinary ideas made into reality. In Alex’s words, you are only as good as your last event, he is a perfectionist. In his spare time he loves spending time going for long drives in the car and sailing the sea on his boat.

Lynsey joined Tapestry in 2000 with a strong financial background for which this has ensured the company remains strong, resilient and financially secure for the future. Being the owner of a growing business, many hats are required especially with an international events business. Her primary role however is to lead the business and ensure successful financial results. Lynsey loves to cook and bake and makes the most amazing chicken pie.

Fraser has a strong background in the Hospitality and Events industry and has worked with Tapestry for over 15 years. Fraser started his journey with Tapestry as a Trainee Technician and has worked hard over the years to gain his position as Operations Manager. He has a keen eye for detail and ensures the smooth-running of our operational process and strategies. His claim to fame is Judy Murray was his tennis coach as a child.

Richard has been with us since 2012, where he started as an AV Technician. He has a strong Hospitality and Customer Service background and worked his way up to Project Manager over the last 9 years. He has built strong relationships with his clients and will go above and beyond for them. Outside of work Richard enjoys going abroad and on a Saturday Richard is usually found wherever Clyde FC are playing!

The newest member of our Management Team, Kevin brings 20 years of experience and specialises in sound and vision mixing. Kevin has a Degree in Broadcast Operations, as well as a Sound Production Diploma. He is a keen chef, and regularly brings in samples for us all to try.

This is the second time Stuart has been at Tapestry, he left 18 years ago and was warmly welcomed back to the team in 2019, with 35 years’ experience in this industry and specialising in Sound Production. Stuart is a committed member of the team and passionate about providing an outstanding service. Stuart relaxes by playing guitar in his free time.

Pete joined the team in 2019 and brings with him over 30 years of industry experience, with a Degree in Multimedia he has knowledge across all aspects of the event trade. Pete is passionate about and specialises in lighting techniques, power distribution, fractions of rigging and a skilled Vectorworks CAD Operator. Pete is a keen baker and a classic Mini enthusiast.

Michael has been part of the team for 7 years, and has a vast experience in setting up, operating, maintaining and repairing equipment to enhance our live events offerings. He has a BoSc in Audio Engineering and has a strong ability to work under deadline pressure. In his free time, Michael is a budding musician and our resident inhouse Drummer.

Chris brings with him extensive knowledge in video production and has been part of the team for over 2 years. He has strong technical knowledge of sound and lighting equipment and experience working with BBC Worldwide, Lance Securities, NHS Scotland, INEOS and Akzo Nobel and manages all aspects of directing and editing videos for our clients. Chris is a keen photographer and regularly shares beautiful pictures with the team.

Chris joined the team in July 2021 and has a Degree in Computer Information Systems and Technology and a Diploma in 2D/3D Computer Animation and Design. He brings with him 18 years of experience in the events industry and keeps up to date with the latest technology allowing him to produce high-quality, cutting-edge content for our clients. He is a self-professed geek, online ‘Dad’ gamer, and loves nothing more than exploring the great outdoors with his family.

Gary is one of our most experienced technicians, with over 16 years of experience and started with Tapestry 7 years ago as an inhouse AV Technician and has progressed through the company to become our Senior Project Manager. Gary is a key contact for many of our global clients and is responsible for leading our teams to deliver top quality experiences, manage risk, project change requests and on-time project delivery. In his spare time, he loves nothing more than riding off on his motorbike.

Laura has over 12 years’ experience in the Hospitality and Events industry and has worked with Tapestry for 5 years. Laura is responsible for event management and logistics. She prides herself on her meticulous attention to detail, can prioritize and achieve her set goals and has strong working relationships with our clients. She has a BA in History and learns British Sign Language skills in her free time.

Kevin has over 18 years industry experience and worked with Tapestry since 2003. He is a firm favourite with our loyal customers and staff members. His AV journey started when he completed a BSc in Audio Technology with Multimedia back in 2002, he uses these learnings to provide an excellent level of service. Kevin loves reading and his sense of humour keeps the team in great spirits.

With a BSC Degree in Architectural Computer Aided Technology and an MA Masters in Computer Art, Alan is our resident creative expert. He joined team Tapestry in 2020 and has been creating visually stunning 3D designs and graphics for various virtual and physical projects. His passion lies in pushing the boundaries of innovation and surrealism in visualisation and digital design. In his spare time, he enjoys getting a few rallies going in Badminton.

Sean is the youngest member of the team, third generation of McLaren in Tapestry and been part of the family business since 2016. Sean has learned his trade from an early age and has extensive knowledge and ability in setting up and operating live events. He drives our HGVs delivering equipment for our client events globally. Sean is a keen sports car enthusiast and regularly takes part in motorsport events such as Santapod & Knockhill track days.
